In order to help you get the most from your medication, your MEDOCare pharmacist will provide counseling for your prescription services.

Prescription pick-up:
In communities with a MEDOCare Pharmacy and FREE delivery in Winnipeg and FREE shipping throughout Manitoba by Canada Post

FREE compliance (Blister) packaging:
Compliance Packaging has been proven to improve medication adherence and ensures that patients take the correct medication and the correct dosage at the correct time. Compliance packing can be provided in 1, 2 or 4-week cycles. Speak to one of our Pharmacists to discuss how blister packing can help you or a family member.

Immunization services:
Our MEDOCare Pharmacists are Authorized by the College of Pharmacy of Manitoba (CPhM) to provide injections. Provincially covered immunizations such as Flu, Pneumonia, Tetanus can be given by a Pharmacist. We can also provide immunizations not covered by Manitoba Health, such as the Shingles (Shingrix) and Pneumoccoal (Prevnar) vaccines (an injection fee may apply). Other injections may also be available, please inquire with our Pharmacist. Injections are provided by appointment only.

FREE medication reviews:
This program offers the client an opportunity to have their MEDOCare Pharmacist review their medication profile, assess for proper use of medication, detect potential interactions, and discuss possible side effects you may be experiencing. Ask one of our Pharmacy team members to book an appointment to receive this free patient-care service.

FREE medical device training:
Our MEDOCare Pharmacists will take time to make sure you know how to properly use and get the most out of your home testing device or medication aid. We will show you how to properly use a blood pressure or blood glucose monitor and let you know the best time to take readings. Our Pharmacists will also discuss your results and how you can use these devices to better manage your medical conditions. If you are using a medication aid such as a spacer device for inhalers, we can review your technique and ensure you are using it correctly.

Expired/Unused drug and needle disposal service:
We offer our clients free and safe disposal services for expired or unused drugs as well as sharps (needle) disposal. Please return all unused or expired drugs directly to the pharmacy for disposal. For needle disposal, ask one of our team members for a free sharps box which can be returned to us once full, and a new box will be provided. Through proper disposal, you can help protect your community and our environment.

Easy payment options:
We accept common private insurance plans including Assure/Telus, Manitoba Blue Cross, Express Scripts, Green Shield and more. For payment, we accept VISA, Mastercard, Interac/Debit, cash or cheque.

Prescription transfers:
Switching your prescription to MEDOCare Pharmacy may be easier than you think. Simply contact MEDOCare Pharmacy and request a transfer and our team takes care of the rest. Once transferred, we will confirm with you and ensure we fill any prescriptions you require. Please note that some prescriptions cannot be transferred.
